Determine if you need the Yellow Fever vaccination:

Have you already had one within the past 10 years and retained the Yellow Fever Immunization Record card?

Does your travel group or cruise line require one?

Does the World Health Organization (WHO) recommend or require one? Check WHO here.

Do you have any of the following medical conditions?

• You are over age 65 and have NEVER had a Yellow Fever vaccination before.

• You are immune-supressed--for example if you are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatments or have
leukemia.

• You have had a vaccination IN THE PAST 28 DAYS for “shingles”, chickenpox, measles.

• You have myasthenia gravis or have had a disease of or removal of the thymus.

• You have had a LIFE-THREATENING allergic reation to eggs.

• You are taking steroid PILLS (prednisone, for example).

To save you time, money and gas, all of your other vaccinations can be completed on the same visit without having to return on a separate day.

DO NOT DELAY YOUR REQUEST FOR YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION AS YOU NEED TO PLAN AHEAD OF YOUR DEPARTURE DATE.  REMEMBER THAT TRAVELER'S DEMAND TO YELLOW FEVER COUNTRIES WILL DRAMATICALLY INCREASE IN THE COMING MONTHS!  

Yellow Fever vaccination must be done at least 10 days before entering a country where it is required so allow yourself as much lead time as possible.  Yellow Fever is a potentially fatal disease so be sure to vaccinate.
